I put together all the cabling, mounted all the mics, programed and ran the mixer, trained parents and staff on setup, and taught the synth section. I have been with Skyridge for four seasons. This past year I had to upgrade our mixer to an SQ5 and learn how to coordinate Shure QLXD with wireless workbench. I ran sound for the band Nancy's music festival. We were raising money to fund relief efforts in Palestine. None of the bands gave me input lists or stage plots so I got to wing everything. Things went fairly smoothly until the evening when one of the neighbors who was previously ok with the noise level decided they were going to call the cops if we didn't quiet down. So we tore down almost everything and moved only one pa speaker and a few vocal mics into the garage.

I recorded this album in Studio A. I used C414s for the guitars, a TLM 103 for the bass, a C12VR for the vocals, Re 20 for the trumpet, Sm57 for the guitar amp, Se4400s for the rooms, and a C414 for the violin. I planned on mixing in both stereo and atmos from the start and I put up the rooms specifically for the atmos version. I kept processing really minimal. I am still going through revisions with the band, but here is a link to the stereo versions of the album:

I programed this channel strip in C++ using the JUCE library. It features an eq, panning, a compressor and a fader. Click this link to download it from my github.

I Mixed the song Fireflies by Owl City in Dolby Atmos. I used the 5.1 setup in Studio B. I really tried to create an immersive mix that would make the listener feel like they are at the center of the music. I build a synthesizer for my Plugin 2 class. It features all of the essentials for synthesizing music. It is build for MacOS in the VST3 and AU formats. It is also available as a standalone application that can be played without a daw. A link to the github is below. The installer for MacOS is in the installers directory or from the releases tab.

I was a boom op on a short film directed by my fellow UVU student, Charlie Alexander called Someday. My friend Halie was the on set sound mixer and I was the boom operator. We shot for three filming days in Provo, Lehi, and American Fork. One of the child actors was dancing on the roof of a shed at one point.
